Glasgow Rangers defender, Leon Balogun has wished the Super Eagles the very best in their 2026 World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, urging the team to secure victory.
“All the best today boys and play your heart out for the flag and the nation,” Balogun wrote on his verified X handle on Monday.
The Super Eagles will be desperate to secure their first win of the 2026 World Cup qualification series against the Squirrels of Benin in what will be their fourth game.

Nigeria is currently fifth on the table with a highly disappointing three points after playing out an identical 1-1 draw with Lesotho, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The Super Eagles in all their three World Cup qualifiers have also conceded first before coming from behind to secure a point in each of those matches.
Meanwhile, Super Eagles defender, Benjamin Tanimu has promised that the 2026 World Cup journey will end well for the team despite playing out a 1-1 draw with South Africa last Friday.

Their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup suffered a massive blow after the draw with the Bafana Bafana at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.
Themba Zwane broke the deadlock on 30 minutes with a clinical strike from close range with Nigeria equalising when Fisayo Dele-Bashiru fired a shot in from inside the box.
Tanimu who justified his invitation to the senior national team once again with an impressive performance against the South Africans has now taken to social media.
“I feel sad over the result as that is not how we wanted it but trust me, the journey will end well,” the Ihefu SC of Tanzania defender posted on his X page.
