The majority of 2,615 2024 batch B (stream II) members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to Kaduna State have been posted to rural areas for the national service proper after their 21-day orientation course in Kaduna State.

This is even as the Kaduna State Governor, Sen. Uba Sani, congratulated them on the successful orientation course, urging them to accept their posting in good faith and make efforts to settle down quickly at their places of primary assignment (PPA).

Speaking at the closing ceremony held at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp in Kaduna, the Governor urged the corps members to respect the customs and traditions of their host communities and engage with them in ways that foster mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation.

Represented by the Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salizu, Uba Sani emphasised the importance of dedication, professionalism, and a spirit of service as they begin their primary assignments across the state.

He assured the corps members that the State Government was committed to providing necessary support to ensure a productive and rewarding service year in the state.

Earlier, NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, Mr. Hassan Mahmud Taura, commended the corps members for their diligence and exceptional performance during the orientation course.

He encouraged them to accept their postings in good faith, report promptly to their employers, and engage in Community Development Service (CDS) projects that impact their host communities.

He further reminded them to build on the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training they received during the orientation course and shun social vices such as corruption, nepotism, tribalism, and religious bigotry.

Orientation course marks the end of the first phase of the corps members’ journey and the beginning of their service to the state and nation through PPA, CDS, and passing out parade (POP) in about 10 months.
