A non-governmental organisation, Tender Hearts Foundation, has distributed 50 grinding machines and clothing to widows, over 200 elderly women, and the less privileged in a ceremony tagged “Face of Giving” at Owodokpokpo in the Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, on December 13, 2022.
According to a statement by the foundation, the president of the NGO, Sally Othihiwa, while presenting the items to the women, noted that the gesture was part of the foundation’s sustainable social services to humanity to empower underprivileged women and young girls.
She said, “In line with our itinerary of ensuring that the goals of the United Nation for 2030 are achieved, the foundation has continually engaged in skill acquisition programs, giving funds to women with existing businesses to strive, and other programmes such as observing International Women’s Day, Youth Engagement and Inclusion Programmes, Health Outreach Programs and Palliatives Distribution to Widows.
“The initiative is for a better future for every woman and girl child. The Foundation is committed to giving succor to the plights of children and women by improving their welfare. It’s the creed we uphold in our foundation with untainted passion and tenacity.”
The president added that the NGO was working assiduously to put a smile on the face of humanity, stating that the foundation would be embarking on streams of programmes in the coming months of 2023 to impact humanity in no small measure.
While receiving the items, an elder, Queen Ajose, on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked Tender Hearts Foundation for the kind gesture and prayed for the continuous growth of the organisation.
