Human resources and payroll company, Seamless HR, has embarked on a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to develop the capabilities and potentials of physically challenged youths.
In a statement, it stated that the CSR initiative named Codeable was launched in partnership with the Special Olympics Committee in Nigeria to harness the potential of youths that are disadvantaged and those with intellectual disabilities.
The Chairperson of the Codeable Committee, Adetoun Akinsunmi, noted that the first cohort was organised between July and September 2022.
Akinsunmi said, “The second cohort of Codeable would kick off in the first quarter of 2023. Three of the best and most active participants would be taken as interns at Seamless HR and would resume work when the company resumes in the New Year.
“Seamless HR seeks partnership from other organisations to support the worthy initiative as the company cannot do it alone.”
She enjoined other corporate organisations to absorb the participants so that they can showcase the skills they have acquired during the training.
The beneficiaries were Dada Samuel, who will be joining the SeamlessHR Quality Assurance Department; Jennifer Nwosu, who will join the Product Management Department; and Victoria Oderinde, who will intern in the Engineering Department.
