Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has called for the extradition of Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa from Finland to Nigeria to face the wrath of the law.
Uzodimma spoke during a familiarisation visit from the new General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Enugu, Major General Hassan Dada, at the Government House in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
Ekpa has been directing the affairs of IPOB terrorists from Finland to enforce a two-week sit-at-home order in the Southeast.
According to Uzodimma, what is topmost in the Southeast was the case of this popular sit-at-home order.
“There’s one man called Simon Ekpa somewhere in Finland. It is our hope that the security agencies, particularly the military, working with the Federal Government, will be able to either bring Simon Ekpa back to Nigeria to also sit at home with us or be made to face the wrath of the law,” Uzodimma was quoted by Channels TV as saying.
However, Uzodimma said he had the privilege of receiving in audience, the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigeria Army, Major General H. T. Dada and his entourage at the State Government House, Owerri.
“I am particularly impressed by the COAS matching order, as affirmed by the GOC, to flush out criminals and restore law and order within the region and indeed, across the nation.
“Our people deserve to enjoy their rights and privileges in going about their legitimate engagements without fear, harassment and cruel attacks, especially by non-state actors. The peace we are known for must reign,” he said.
