The Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta on Project Monitoring and Audit, Engr. Goodnews Agbi, on Sunday said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was passionate about delivering quality and sustainable projects for the people of the state.
Agbi stated this weekend during an interview with journalists at the ongoing construction of Uti Road in Uvwie Local Local Government Area of the state.
Other projects visited include; Ozoro Modern Market, Isoko North Local Government Area, Edo Guest House Road in Uvwie and Udu Harbour Market in Udu Local Government Area.
Flanked by top officials of the Directorate of Projects Monitoring and Audit, the Special Adviser commended Roadwell Construction for the quality work on Uti Road and Edo Guest House Road and for following the Bill of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation.

According to him, “what the contractor is doing is to construct new drains and introduce boulders at critical sections. We are impressed with the quality, size and precision of the drains.
“The MORE Agenda of Governor Oborevwori is to give Deltans more value for their money in terms of quality projects delivery.
“The Governor is passionate about doing good roads and good jobs for the benefit of the people. The road was a failed road and what the Governor wants is a quality road that would stand the test of time.
“The contractor is working hard to rehabilitate it and bring it to the standard we want for the people of the area to enjoy and feel the impact of government.
“What the contractor is doing engineering wise is a very good work, you can see the thickness and the alignment of the drains and he has exceeded the universal size for drains and these are the kind of quality of work that Governor Oborevwori wants to see.”
On completion timeline for the project Agbi, said the contractor has promised to work day and night to complete the job and ready for inauguration before the end of May.
At Edo Guest House Road, Ekpan, the Special Adviser commended the contractor, Roadwell Engineering for the quality of work done and called on the Warri Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, WUEDA to complete the storm drainage project on the Ekpan Road to enable the contractor link the drainage.
Earlier at Ozoro Modern Market, which comprised of 600 open and 30 lock up shops, storage area and other facilities, Engr Agbi urged the contractor to correct all errors observed and ensure prompt completion of the project to enable the community enjoy the benefit of the market project as intended by the state government.
