Four-year-old Miguel Ovoke, a pupil of BrickHall School in Abuja who died during feeding hours, was buried Today, Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.

PUNCH Metro reported that Miguel was rushed to the Excel Specialist Hospital after choking on a piece of meat during lunch at school.

Despite the efforts of the medical team, he was declared dead upon arrival on April 24.

The hospital’s medical report indicated that all attempts to resuscitate the boy were unsuccessful.

The school’s management and Parents Teacher’s Forum had expressed heartfelt condolences to the family, describing the incident as a “heart-wrenching event.”

They acknowledged the prompt response of the school’s trained nurse and the decision to rush Miguel to the hospital but lamented that his life could not be saved.
