As the Super Eagles gear up to face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic in the World Cup qualifiers, head coach Finidi George has disclosed that the players will approach the game with seriousness.
Finidi mentioned that the Super Eagles have learned from the draw in their match against South Africa and are eager for a victorious encounter.
The Eagles are in the fifth position in Group C after the first three fixtures against Lesotho, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
Speaking on the level of preparedness and approach, Finidi shared, “We are going to approach the game with every seriousness. The match against South Africa, that is gone. We have learnt from it. We just have to get ourselves to have that fantastic second half that we had [against South Africa].
“If we can start that way tomorrow [now today], I think we have a chance.”
The clash will take place at the Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, Ivory Coast, at 5 pm. (Nigerian time).
