Niger youths hail the Airforce over the killing of 28 Boko Haram sect

The people of Bassa community in Shiroro local government area of Niger State have commended the combined efforts of the special hunters and the Nigerian Airforce for the success recorded last week in the ongoing war against bandits and other insurgents terrorizing the community and other villages.
The people were full of praises for the security agents for eliminating over 28 members of the Boko Haram sects in Bassa community after a fierce gun battle last week, describing it as a welcome development.
The community in a statement in Minna and signed by the leader of the Youth movement in Bassa community Isiyaku Director, titled “immense appreciation for distinguished senator Sani 313 and the Nigerian Airforce”, said the elimination of these gunmen came as a great relief to Bassa community and other sorrounding villages that have been under siege from the insurgents.
Recalled that in the month of August alone, the gunmen killed over 38 members of the community and the latest being the killing of 13 farmers at a mining site at Angwan Maigiro in the same Shiroro local government area of the state.
The people also particularly singled out the senator representing Niger East Senatorial district Alhaji Mohammed Sani for his tireless efforts towards ensuring that peace is restored to his entire Constituency, Bassa inclusive.
The people described the senator as a true representative of the people of his Constituency, saying that, “We want to expressed our deepest gratitude and admiration for your exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to our security and well-being.
“Your relentless efforts have yielded remarkable results, and we are thrilled to witness the positive impact of your dedication and commitment to the well-being of your people.
“The recent success in neutralizing the over 28 bandits in Bassa is a testament to your effective collaboration with the security forces and your proactive approach to addressing the security challenges in our region”,
The community pointed out that senator Sani Musa leadership has brought hope and relief to the communities in Shiroro and other local government areas in the zone, stressing that, “we can’t thank you enough.
“Your selfless service, vision, and unwavering resolve have made a significant difference in the lives of our people. You are a shining example of what it means to be a true leader and a champion of the people.
“Please accept our heartfelt appreciation for all that you do. We are honored to have you as our representative and look forward to your continued leadership and guidance”,
The statement therefore urged the, government, security agents and other relevant stakeholders to sustain the onslaught against”these enemies of people”.
Meanwhile peace is gradually returning to the community following the deployment of men of the Joint Security Taskforce, comprising special hunters, local Vigilantes and other security agents to the troubled communities of Bassa and Allawa.
Hitherto the deployment, the Gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sects had sacked the military bases in Allawa and Bassa communities and ordered the people to relocate, and warned them not to return back.
Unconfirmed report had it that the gunmen have engaged themselves in farming and other commercial activities in the area, including mining.
