The Lagos State Taskforce has apprehended four individuals allegedly involved in illegal drug trafficking.
The agency announced the arrests in a post shared on its official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Friday, identifying the suspects as Michael Lawal, 35; Adeniyi Oludare, 18; Alex Loba, 24; and Gaffar Adenekan, 34.
According to the taskforce, the men were arrested in the Mushin area of Lagos during an operation targeting illegal drug activities.
“Today, officials of the Lagos State Taskforce apprehended four suspects involved in trading illicit substances at Ojunrin axis in Mushin. The suspects were caught red-handed,” the agency stated.
The suspects have since been charged to court, and the agency’s chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele, reiterated his warning to residents to refrain from drug trafficking or face prosecution.
