President Bola Tinubu has stated that he is not focused on being re-elected in 2027 as Nigeria is still battling diverse challenges.
Tinubu made the remark while speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West Zone Assembly at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, on Saturday.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the President said that the hardship in the nation is a concern to him and added that things would get better.
“For every moment in a country, a particular leader is produced for that time. This is the time to produce a leader that is courageous.
“The challenges of our country are diverse and immense. When a man has a strong conviction of what he is doing, he pursues it,” Tinubu stated.
Speaking further, he shared that he has love for the citizens and would continue to lend a listening ear to all while acting in their best interest.
