Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker suffered an injury during their 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace on Saturday, forcing him off the pitch after 79 minutes, with Vitezslav Jaros taking his place.
The club does not expect the Brazilian shot-stopper to return before the next international break, scheduled from 11th to 19th November. This means Liverpool will face a tough run of fixtures without their first-choice keeper. They are set to take on Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, and Aston Villa in the Premier League, as well as RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League, and Brighton again in the Carabao Cup.

Caoimhin Kelleher, who missed the game against Crystal Palace due to illness, is expected to step in for Alisson. Liverpool manager Arne Slot confirmed Kelleher as the second-choice goalkeeper, stating, “It is quite clear that he [Kelleher] is number two. Otherwise, the last time Alisson was injured, I would have played Vit, but I played Caoimhin, and he did well.”
Kelleher has already filled in for Alisson earlier this season, playing in wins against Bournemouth in the Premier League and West Ham in the Carabao Cup.
Alisson’s absence also rules him out of Brazil’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Peru. Liverpool’s first match after the November break is against Southampton on 24th November, followed by crucial games against Real Madrid, Manchester City, Newcastle United, and their local rivals Everton.
