Justice served: Adam Baillie jailed for life after brutal attack on 11-year-old girl

Adam Baillie, 39, of Spring Way, Harrow, has been sentenced to life in prison for the kidnapping and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl.
The horrific incident occurred on April 19, 2024, when Baillie abducted the girl on her way home from primary school.
He took her to his property, where he subjected her to a brutal sexual assault. However, thanks to the bravery and quick thinking of the young victim, she managed to escape and, with the help of neighbors, alerted the police.
According to the Met Police, the authorities swiftly launched an investigation, and Baillie was arrested after the girl identified his property.
He was found guilty on October 16, 2024, at Harrow Crown Court, and was also convicted of kidnapping with actual bodily harm.

The sentencing judge imposed a life imprisonment term with a minimum of 10 years.
PC Georgia Devaney-Brighton, who led the investigation, praised the victim’s courage and resilience, saying, “Today we achieved justice for this courageous girl… This young victim-survivor has shown remarkable bravery throughout this process.”
PC Devaney-Brighton also acknowledged the severity of the crime, stating, “This was an appalling crime which sent shockwaves through the local community.”
She expressed her hope that the sentence would provide some comfort to the victim and her family.
