Real Madrid have discovered its opponent in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, and it’s a familiar foe: Atletico Madrid.
The reigning champions will face off against their Spanish rivals in the knockout stages.
Liverpool, meanwhile, has been handed a challenging tie against Paris Saint-Germain. Despite dominating the initial stage of the new-look format, Liverpool will have to navigate a tough matchup against the French giants to advance.
If Liverpool can overcome PSG, they may face an all-English quarterfinal against Aston Villa.
Arsenal, on the other hand, will take on PSV Eindhoven in the last 16, with a potential quarterfinal matchup against Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid looming.
Aston Villa’s impressive showing in the group stage has earned them a two-legged tie against Club Brugge.
Other notable matchups include an all-German clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, as well as Borussia Dortmund vs. Lille and Feyenoord vs. Inter Milan.
Barcelona will face Benfica in another highly anticipated matchup.

The UEFA Champions League draw has set the stage for an exciting knockout phase, with the final scheduled to take place in Munich on May 31.
