    LAGOS – Two Nigerian airports have been recognised by the Airport Council International (ACI Africa) for their exceptional dedication to airport Emergency Management and Resilience.

     The award ceremony, which took place during the gala night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa, the organisers said was given to the two airports for meeting the industry standards and creating the enabling environment for users.

    A statement by Mr. Tunde Moshood, the Special Adviser, Media to Barr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, named the two airports as Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport.

    According to the statement, the two airports were honoured with plaques.

    He emphasised that the awards were presented by Mr. Emmanuel Chaves and Ali Tounsi, the President and Secretary-General, ACI Africa, respectively.

    The statement added: “These prestigious awards are a testament to the unwavering commitment and hard work of everyone involved in ensuring excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, especially the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo.

    “Nigeria’s aviation sector can take pride in this achievement, which underscores the dedication to providing secure and efficient travel experiences.”
