Birnin Kebbi: Barely one week after a wild hippopotamus attacked and killed a fisher man at Yauri river bank in Yauri local government area of Kebbi state, on Tuesday another fisherman, Alhaji Dan ya, from Tunga Dan ya,u were fatally attacked by a wild hippopotamus at same Yauri river in Kebbi.
According to Alkasim Haruna Abarshi, the fisher man was fishing in the river when he was attacked by the wild hippo without any provocation, the victim is in very critical condition at Yauri General Hospital over the brutal unprovoked attack by the hippotamus.

Honourable Abubakar Shuaibu manager, the executive Chairman, of Yauri local government area of Kebbi state who visited the victim at the hospital sympathized with him and prayed for his quick recovery while describing the victim’s condition as critical he pledged to assist him in the best way he can, he admonished fisher men in the area to take precautions by studying the river areas before embarking on their fishing business.
Recall that, a nursing hippotamus last week at the Yauri river bank attacked and killed a fisher man while fishing in the river.
