Dr. Toyosi Akure-Bao, founder, Toyosi Akure-BAO Foundation has described the first 100 days of Kogi State governor, Usman Ahmed Ododo, as remarkable and a beacon of hope for greater development in the state.

Akure, who is the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, Astolead Nig. Ltd, in a congratulatory message issued from his base in the United States, noted that the governor’s short time in the saddle has been marked with purpose, evoking humane governance, treating the diverse people and cultures in the state as family members and compassionate towards the suffering masses.

He enthused that the new administration holds hope for a more peaceful and prosperous Kogi State under a leadership that is as “honest, more humane and ethical as possible”.

The statement partly reads: “Any government that believes in a united society while supporting those ideals to value people and humanity above all interests have the most developed societies, happiest, patriotic and productive citizens. This is what the records of Ododo has shown us within just 100 days in office. We sincerely hope these are not a flash in the pan, even as every little step Ododo has taken is as assuring and predictably positive in all directions. These first 100 days demonstrated that the rest of the tenure is a journey towards greater development of our dear State, across all strata of the economy.

“Once again, I congratulate the governor, members of his young cabinet and the good people of Kogi State on the birth of a new, purposeful and humane government”.

He listed Ododo’s accomplishments during the period under review to include having a good listening ear, responsible and responsive leadership, exemplified by the prompt response to agitation for improved Local Government staff welfares and salaries, full payment of pensions, strengthening of the state’s security network, renewed focus on rural infrastructure, education, youth, women empowerment and the general well-being of the people. Toyosi Akure called for more support from the people to enable the governor to continue in his developmental strides, towards a successful and rewarding tenure for all.
