Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate of the Young Progressive Peoples Party (YPP) in the 2023 general elections in Abia state, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to Commiserate with Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, former Leader of the ECOWAS Parliament and former Senator representing Abia North in the eighth senate, over the untimely death of his beloved wife, Lady Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa, a distinguished lawyer, who passed on over the weekend in a hospital in Abuja.
In his condolence message, Anyaso expressed shock and termed the situation as unfortunate as he sends his profound sympathies to Senator Ohuabunwa on the unexpected death of his beloved wife, Lady Barr. Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa, who passed on July 22, 2023, as revealed by the family.
“The passing away of Senator Ohuabunwa’s dear wife has brought immense sorrow not only to the family but also to the entire community and Abia state as a whole.” He said
While emphasizing the need for compassion and solidarity during this challenging time, he urged Nigerians from all walks of life to unite in extending their support to Senator Ohuabunwa and his family and recalling that grief knows no political boundaries.
Reacting further, he emphasized the need of joining together as a nation to assist one another at times of loss and sadness. He noted that giving support, praying, and standing steadfast with well-meaning Nigerians who selflessly pour out their hearts and humanity to serve the nation in difficult times is an important approach to create harmony and coexistence in society.
More so, Anyaso acknowledged the significant contributions of Senator Mao and his late wife to the growth and development of Abia State and the nation at large. Saying, “As a seasoned politician, statesman, and public servant, Senator Ohuabunwa and his late wife, Lady Nimi have devoted their lives to the betterment of their constituents, Abia state and the Nigerian people.”
The statement noted that Anyaso and the entire Young Progressive Peoples Party (YPP) family in solidarity mourn with Senator Mao Ohuabunwa and pray for strength and solace for the bereaved family.
“May the soul of Lady Nimi Faith Ohuabunwa perfectly rest in the bosom of the Almighty God until the resurrection day when the Saints shall rise again and die no more.” He said.
