APC clears all chairmanship, councillorship seats in Imo LG election

Candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) have been declared winners of all the 27 local government chairmanship and 305 councillorship seats in the Imo council elections
Charles Ejiogu, the chairman of Imo State Independent National Electoral Commission, declared the result of the election at the commission’s headquarters in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Monday.
Ejiogu said the election was conducted in line with the state electoral laws and guidelines, was credible, free and fair.
He said: “All the candidates of APC have been officially declared winners as Councilor-Elects and Executive Council Chairmen-Elects.”

“The elections took place across 305 electoral wards and 27 local government areas (LGAs) in Imo State”, Ejiogu said.
The newly elected Executive Council Chairmen from the 27 LGAs are: Ngor-Okpala – Chika Ibekwe, Owerri West – Victor Osigwe, Ehime Mbano – Chief Uche Nwodu, Aboh Mbaise – Iheukwumere Alaribe Henry, Onimo – Emeka Paul Obi, Owerri Municipal – Chidiebere Emereibe, Ezinihitte Mbaise – Chinedum Nwachukwu, Owerri North – Lucky Abaraonye, Oru West – Ikenna Adikibe, Njaba – Vitalis Ugo Obi, Ikeduru – Justice Nzeh, Mbaitoli – Ifunanya Nwanegwo, Nwangele – Paul Duru, Oguta – Ifeanyi Nani, Orlu – Chris Mbarie,
