JOS: Chairman of All Progressive Congress ( APC) in Plateau state Rufus Bature has. Accused Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and peoples Democratic party of rigging the 2924 Local Government Councils election in Plateau state.
Bature at a Press Conference held at its Party Secretariat at Kalwa House on Saturday in Jos, alleged that what took place in most of Local Government Councils in Plateau state was not election at local government Councils but that alleged that the polls were married by blood bath, rigging, kidnap and manipulation of results..
He questioned the integrity of People’s Democratic Party to conduct Election on the Plateau when it could noted organize an Internal Party Primaries elections?
According to him,” in the heat of the campaigns, a top Goverment functionary including the Speaker of House of Assembly Gabriel Dewan boasted that the election s were just formalities and that no matter the situation, all PDP candidates would be returned”
” This we protested and raised red flag on the sincerity of PLASIEC to Conduct free and Fair election”

He alleged that some Goverment functionaries even boasted that no matter what APC do, PDP candidates would be returned as winners which has turned out to be the truth”
Bature added that when they raised their concerns with credible facts, PLASIEC Chairman Plangji Cishak and Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang always dismissed our submissions with sweet quoted assurances coloured with sentences and Punctuated with hypothetical mention name of God that elections would be transparent, free and Fair but what they go t at the end of day was the Opposite of what they Promised. He stressed
He further alleged that “forward to the distribution of sensitive matterials to the local government areas,and distribution of same to electoral wards and polling units, it is a fact that election matterials and ballot papers were grossly inadequate as at the polling units, those thought to be APC strongholds were deliberately given 10 percent to. 20 percent of what was required.”
He also alleged that the result sheets were not provided in APC strongholds saying last Tuesday election was the worst local government elections in the state.
“Despite all complaints ,changes made to result sheets by Electoral officers and PLASIEC, nothing was addressed by the state electoral body.
He added that “election never took place in some places as there were reported cases of ballot stuffing in PDP strong holds ” Bature stressed.
According to Plateau APC Boss, despite all what took place during Tuesday Council elections in the state by PDP Government and PLASIEC, the people were determined to vote for. Candidates of their choice but returning Officers absconded in many places without waiting for collating of results as stipulated by law.
He. Condemned the swearing into office of PDP candidates by the state Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang despite the facts that results across the state shows that PDP candidates were rejected at the polls.

According to him, APC rejects in entirely the results of Tuesday local government elections in Plateau state and that his party is heading to Court to challenge this electoral process which he knows would not stand the test of time.
