LAGOS – The Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), a multi-sectorial cultural tourism trade body in the country, set November 19, 2024 for its national elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated in Abuja.
A statement by Mr. Frank Meke, Chairman, Media and Publicity sub-Committee, ATPN, said that the meeting would be preceded by a workshop with the theme: ‘Tourism is life’, and would also evaluate selected sub-themes on ‘Peace and Community Safety’ and ‘Structure of the Nigerian Blue Economy.’

Commenting on the meeting, Mr. Andrew Ehanire, Chairman, ATPN AGM 2024 planning committee, said that the interface between practitioners and policy experts was to discuss new thinking and templates for community tourism development and promotion.
Ehanire advised all national zonal officers to advise their members, including stakeholders, to register for the AGM through a dedicated ATPN digital portal.
A list of ATPN ambassadors, the statement hinted would be unveiled during the meeting, including the National Youth Service Corp tourism kit, specifically designed to integrate and connect Nigerian youths to the benefits of cultural tourism business opportunities and values.
