    On a Boxing Day filled with adrenaline, cheers, and lights, 17-year-old Raheem “Badoo” Animashaun dazzled the crowd at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, with a knockout performance that secured him the N1 million Best Boxer prize and the coveted Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.

    The teenage boxing prodigy stunned fans in the light welterweight division with a technical knockout victory over Hammed “Ese” Ganiyu.

    Badoo’s electrifying energy was palpable from the first bell, as he floored his opponent in the opening round, setting the tone for what became a commanding display.

    The contest culminated in the sixth round when Badoo sealed the deal with finesse, much to the delight of the roaring audience.

    This win marks Badoo’s second consecutive triumph as Best Boxer, adding to his earlier glory at the 31st edition of the event in May. The young phenom is carving out a legacy as one of Nigeria’s brightest boxing talents.

    The night was not just about Badoo. Boxing enthusiasts were treated to a mix of fierce competition and captivating entertainment, featuring music and comedy that added flair to the pulsating atmosphere.

    In the evening’s only title bout, Rasheed “Fally Boy” Adeyemo rose to glory, clinching the national super welterweight championship after a hard-fought unanimous decision against Lateef “Enuoshe” Azeez.

    One of the biggest upsets saw Jafaru “Tanka” Suleiman deliver a stunning second-round knockout to Taiwo “Gentle Boy” Olowu in their national super welterweight clash, leaving fans gasping in amazement.

    The super flyweight showdown between Akintunde Abolade and Emmanuel Abimbola ended in a deadlock, while Sikiru “Omo Iya Eleja” Shogbesan thrilled the crowd with a unanimous decision win over Imole “System” Oloyede in the national super featherweight category.
