LAGOS – Nigerian youth have been advised to be intentional and genuinely determined to achieve their life-set goals with zero tolerance for situations around them and other things that pose as distractions.
Mr. Adedayo Charles Akinwale, a widely travelled and exposed executive with a multinational organisation, gave this advice during the opening of the multipurpose 360 Arena, a hub for entertainment, a lounge, a hotel, and an event centre strategically located in the fast-rising development environment of the Akaun area of Agunfoye Road in the Ikorodu suburb of Lagos State.
Akinwale was speaking at the opening of the Arena, which attracted upwardly mobile young people, fun-loving residents, and traditional rulers in the area.
He shared the motive behind the establishment of the Arena in the community and his vision for the future.
He said, “My experience and exposure as an international person inspired the Arena’s facility and ventured into the hospitality and events business.
“Also, to bring something unique with an ambience environment of all-around entertainment with a conducive and secure environment of comfort and relaxation that includes sporting activities close to the people.”
He informed me that the Arena is fully ensuite with air-conditional standard residences for lodging and staying, a well-furnished conference room for strategic meetings, and an organised large space for hosting celebrations and events, with a bar and a lounge.
“Primarily, after careful study, research, and consultations, we came up with something of general interest to serve the community’s interest and to start creating an experience for the future, where we can build on turning a generated idea into a viable means of reality and grow beyond the present location, Adedayo explained.
In agreement with the notion that ideas rule the world, Akinwale said that generated ideas inspired the birthing of 360 Arena as a component and hub of hospitality for relaxation, entertainment, hotels, and event centres. “Without generated ideas, we cannot envisage 360 Arena, also impact the community by creating employment opportunities and fixing the community’s bad road for residents; easy passage.

“Though it is the government’s responsibility, it is our way of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the community,” he declared.
Advising young men and women, Adedayo, also a young man, narrated his life experience and shared that good things do not come easy and that there are always challenges and hurdles to cross.
“I did not have the opportunity to go to the university; I went to a Polytechnic and graduated with an HND. After I finished, I was not comfortable and had to pursue my BSc degree.
“Unfortunately, my Polytechnic was not accredited. Therefore, my credits could not be transferred. I had As and wanted the degree, but the possibility of waiving a four-year course to finish in three years was not possible.
“I had to start all over again from Year One at the university for my degree and that is, six years after I completed my HND, serving the mandatory one-year NYSC, and started working.
“I have to go back to year one again because I knew where I was going,” he narrated.
Akinwale, who is driven by a passion for success and making a difference in people’s lives, have the vision to be an industrialist and could have a massive industry to provide jobs for 5,000 to 7,000 people and impact lives, create opportunities, raise the standard of living, foster a sense of belonging and contribute to the comfort and convenience of the society.
He passionately called on the young people, saying, “You have a lot to offer your immediate environment, the Nigerian society and your generation.
“You must, therefore, put your minds into whatever you want and do it with your strength, commitment, and foresight.
“Be intentional and genuinely determined to achieve your goals. Though it may be tough and rough, believe in yourself and stay focused,”. Akinwale charged
