Real Betis staged a comeback to defeat Real Madrid 2-1, securing only their second home victory in their last 11 league meetings with Los Blancos.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team took an early lead in the 10th minute when Kylian Mbappe set up Ferland Mendy, who unselfishly passed to Brahim Diaz for an easy finish.
According to Flashscore, Madrid remained in control, with Rodrygo nearly doubling the lead with a header that landed on the roof of the net.
Meanwhile, the home fans at Estadio Benito Villamarin grew frustrated with the referee’s decisions.
Betis had their first real chance in the 22nd minute when Ricardo Rodriguez fired a long-range shot. Marc Bartra then sent an effort wide, while Jesus Rodriguez failed to connect cleanly with a cross from Youssouf Sabaly.

However, Betis grew more confident and found their equaliser in the 34th minute when Johnny Cardoso powered in a header from an Isco cross. Thibaut Courtois got a hand to it but couldn’t keep it out.
Cardoso nearly scored again just before halftime, but his header took a deflection off Aurelien Tchouameni, and Courtois reacted well to push it wide.
After the break, Betis continued pressing, with Cardoso and Cucho Hernandez having shots blocked. Bartra also made a crucial challenge to stop Mbappe.
The decisive moment came when Isco played a through ball to Jesus, who was fouled by Antonio Rudiger in the box. Isco stepped up and calmly converted the penalty, sealing a hard-fought win for Betis.
