Eilish surprised her fans by releasing the album without any prior singles, allowing listeners to consume the album in its entirety at once. The album arrived on May 17, 2024, and features 10 previously unreleased songs.
As with her previous albums, Eilish collaborated with her brother, Finneas, who produced ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’. The duo are known to be powerhouse in the music industry for their unique sound and innovative approach to music production.
Furthermore, the album explores themes of sexuality, physical appearance, and personal breakthroughs. Eilish described the album as a return to her roots, saying, “This whole process has felt like I’m coming back to the girl that I was. I’ve been grieving her.
