Super Eagles and Bayern Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface has been drilled to increase his Bundesliga goals tally in today’s league clash against visiting side, Augsburg.
The bulky goal poacher whose side was crowned league champion before the final day of the German league, currently have 13 league goals to his credit. Having inspired his side to an incredible unbeaten run in all competition, gaffer, Xabi Alonso, yesterday hinted the striker is in good shape to bang more before his teeming fans.
Going by the club’s official twitter handle, Boniface alongside team mate, Robert Aldrich was seen taking instructions from Alonso. ‘ Ready for tomorrow’s big day! #Andrich, Boniface#,’ the club twitted displaying the duo’s drilling image.
Leverkusen beat Werder Bremen 5-0 to move 16 points clear of Bayern Munich – who have won the last 11 Bundesliga titles – with five games left to play. It is the first trophy Leverkusen have lifted since their German Cup victory in 1993.
Boniface, 23, has also been instrumental in his team’s quest for the 2004 Europa and German Cup final.
