Carlo Ancelotti has rebuffed reports claiming that he had decided to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Onda Cero had reported that the five-time European Cup-winning boss will depart at the end of the term, with Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso the favourite to take over.
However, speaking to the press on Tuesday, the Real Madrid boss confirmed that he is willing to stay till 2029.

He said: “I’ve absolutely not decided to leave Real Madrid. I hope to stay for four more years, same as Florentino Pérez. That would be perfect in order to do a big farewell together in 2029!”
Ancelotti also dropped hints that Real Madrid may not make any signings in January.
When asked if he’s jealous of Man City spending big money in January, the Italian said: “No, not at all. We have a very good squad. Look at last season for example. We lost players, but it was an even more competitive season. That could happen again this season.”
