    Bridge House College (BHC), Ikoyi, Lagos is set for its 20th anniversary, even as it unveiled the anniversary logo on Tuesday at the college’s premises.

    BHC is one of Nigeria’s pioneer independent co-education Sixth Form College located in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. The school was established in 2004.

    At a news conference in Ikoyi on Tuesday, the Executive Director and founder of the college, Dr. Foluke Abdulrazaq, BHC over the course of two decades, the college has garnered an outstanding reputation by offering pertinent curricula, skilled teachers, and the facilities required to instruct and mentor students towards admission to global renowned universities.

    “It is located within a gated estate in Ikoyi with a lagoon-view that provides a conducive atmosphere for learning, as well as for delivering heuristic pedagogy.

    “The College’s culture of academic excellence and moral discipline along with students’ active participation in co-curricular activities enhances her status as one of Nigeria’s leading educational institutions. The College maintains its high standards through her membership of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS),” she said.

    Abdulrazaq stated that the vision of BHC is to help students achieve success in life through the acquisition of knowledge, while its mission is to empower students to achieve success in life, realise their optimum potential through intensive but highly personalised teaching methods, using modern resource material and technology.

    She added that its core values included Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Creativity, Empathy and Excellence, stressing that for two decades, BHC has been a beacon of success, commitment, and innovation in the education landscape.

    “From our humble beginnings, over the past two decades, the College has grown and evolved, achieving numerous successes and earning a reputation as a formidable and foremost Sixth (6th) Form College in Nigeria.

    “Some highlights of our modest achievements include: Consistent excellent results in Cambridge Assessment International Education Examinations (CAIE) over the years, namely, top in the World Award in Law, best scross three, 1st Place in Nigeria, top in Nigeria Awards in Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Economics and Business, high achievement Awards in Psychology, Sociology, Biology, Business, Accounting, Law, Information Technology, Economics and Further Mathematics, excellent performance in IELTS, SAT and TOEFL over the years,” among others.

    On the new Anniversary Logo, Abdulrazaq said it is designed to reflect the college’s rich history and future aspirations, saying the Logo would be used throughout the College’s 20th Anniversary, appearing on marketing materials, social media, and other communications channels.

This anniversary logo represents our commitment to embracing emerging trends, fostering continued innovation, customer satisfaction, community engagement and continuing to provide exceptional value to our partners and stakeholders. Together, we look forward to many more years of success and growth,” she stated.

    She revealed that activities lined up for the 20th Anniversary and Prize Giving Ceremony included a press conference and unveiling of the official Anniversary Logo and hoisting of Anniversary flag; visits to media houses, donations to Schools in the neighbourhood (CSR) and commissioning of a College project.

    Abdulrazaq said the grand finale of the celebration would be on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at Shell Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, with the theme: “Artificial Intelligence and Education: Opportunities and Challenges.”

    However, the anniversary logo was unveiled by the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende.
