The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced that the Company Registration Portal (CRP) is currently experiencing a downtime.
CAC’s management disclosed this in a statement on Friday, stating that the challenges are caused “by optimization of Post Incorporation process being undertaken to allow for deployment of more such processes and enhanced the efficiency of existing ones.”
The optimisation, according to the commission, has resulted in a slowdown of the network, occasional downtime and a resultant backlog in processing both pre and post-incorporation applications.
The Commission, however, apologises to the public for the inconvenience, noting that efforts are being made to complete the optimisation.
It stated that normal services are expected to be restored and appealed to those who have pending applications to be patient while normalcy is restored to the portal.
“The optimization when completed is expected to give end-users pleasant customer experience,” CAC said.
