The newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, recently shared that she deactivated her X page for her mental well-being.
It’s worth noting that Chidimma faced criticism in South Africa during her participation in Miss South Africa.
In response to the criticism, the South Africa Department of Home Affairs, DHA, disclosed potential evidence indicating that Chidimma’s mother was involved in fraud and identity theft.
Speaking on Arise 360, Chidinma mentioned that the overwhelming and predominantly negative responses led her to exit the platform.

The 23-year-old clarified that deleting the app brought her a sense of relief.
“I had to delete it because I felt like it was too much for me. I’m a comment reader so I read every comment; that’s the thing. So for me, I could spend 80% of my day reading comments.
”I’d read the comments and all and it became toxic for me. I use Instagram but I did limit my comment section one time,” Adetshina explained.
She, however, thanked her fans for the support she received.
