I am a chef and foodpreneur. I have always loved cooking. The moment I realised my cooking skills matched with my energy of relating with people, I just knew this was meant for me. Besides, I enjoy the art of cooking.
I conceived the idea of starting my food business in 2018. I got professional training in 2019 and my first contract was in 2021.
I got my professional culinary training from CMK Culinary Training School, Isolo, Lagos. Thereafter, I served as an intern at a five-star hotel in Lagos for a couple of years.
My journey so far has been filled with lots of experiences, including the good, the bad and the beautiful ones.
There have been so many challenges such as economic instability, which affects food, ingredients and utensils prices; human resources management, which comes with its own difficulties; and coping with different customers’ attitudes and characters.
Firstly, I won’t be here without God’s help. Also, my passion, positive feedback, goals and the will to get better every day keep me going.
My first contract was a joyful moment for me. Having to meet some notable personalities at certain events is also one of the highlights of my career.
Since one of the major focuses of my business is to cater to companies and businesses, we have been opportune to work with companies such as Beiersdorf Nigeria, Honda Manufacturing, Reliance HMO and Prospa Bank, among others.
Yes, a few times. However, we keep going.
I attended Sede-Philips Montessori Primary School, Agege, Lagos; and Babs-Fafunwa Millennium Secondary School, Ojodu, Lagos. I also had my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Osun State University, Osogbo, Osun State.
I got financial and emotional support from family and a few of my friends. I also got referrals and prayers from friends.
Our core value as a business is to deliver healthy, sumptuous and tasty meals at all times. We also constantly ask for reviews and feedback from our serving clients. In addition, we work mostly on deliveries and we do not have a location for food sales yet. However, we have an ideal location for our cooking activities.
Yes, but we learn from every encounter. I use such encounters as motivation to get better.
At the moment, we have seven permanent staff members and others on contract.
I would love to own a big restaurant across the country and even outside Nigeria.
I love singing. I probably would have pursued a career in music. Event planning interests me, as well as being a customer service manager.
I relax by having a very good sleep, watching movies, and sometimes going on short vacations.
My favourite food is afang (soup) and pounded yam.
