Court dismisses suit seeking removal of Ganduje

A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking the sack of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Presiding judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo in his ruling on Monday morning, held that the North Central APC Forum which filed the suit, lacked the locus standi to do so.
Justice Ekwo held that North Central APC Forum not a juristic personality as it is not registered the Corporate Affairs Commission.

The presiding judge said that the issue contention was an internal affair of the party and not a cause for litigation
“I hereby dismiss this suit for lack of juristic personality of the claimant. The claimant has no locus standi to institute the suit and I make an order striking out the suit for lack of locus standi. The subject matter is an internal affair of the political party, I hereby strike out the suit for lack of locus standi,” he held.
The North Central APC Forum, had in the suit argued that it was aberrant for the party to have chosen Ganduje as the National Chairman since he was not from the North Central where the former National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu who resigned, came from.
