Credit Direct Finance Company Limited, a leading non-bank financial services provider and part of FCMB Group Plc, recently concluded its highly anticipated CD’LYMPICS event. The event, which took place at the University of Lagos Sport Center, was designed to boost team spirit, connect with customers, and showcase product innovations in a festive, sports-themed setting.
CD’LYMPICS was more than just a sports competition—it was a vibrant celebration of teamwork, employee engagement, and customer appreciation. Credit Direct’s Chairman, Ladi Balogun, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “CD’Lympics is all about teamwork, fostering a strong culture of energetic people who work hard and play hard. I am grateful for everything Credit Direct contributes to FCMB Group and Nigeria.”
Chukwuma Nwanze, CEO of Credit Direct, echoed this sentiment, saying, “CD’LYMPICS is a testament to our commitment to building a vibrant and inclusive culture. It’s about bringing our people and customers together to celebrate what makes Credit Direct unique—our energy, our innovation, and our dedication to nurturing strong customer relationships.”
The event, which followed last year’s successful Innov8Fest, brought together a diverse team from across 28 states, engaging in various activities ranging from traditional sports to board games and creative challenges. This year’s edition emphasized the company’s ongoing focus on employee well-being and work-life balance.
“CD’LYMPICS is not just about sports; it’s about promoting work-life balance, building stronger teams, and ensuring happier employees,” said Edwina Olanipekun, Head of People Management. She highlighted how the event reinforced the company’s commitment to fostering an engaging and inclusive workplace. “By investing in our people and creating opportunities for them to connect and excel, we continue to build a company culture that values unity, well-being, and shared success,” she added.
Customers were also integral to the event, with several invited to participate and connect with the Credit Direct team. Kemi Juba-Martins, Head of Brands, Marketing, and Communication, noted, “Our customers are a vital part of our success story. CD’LYMPICS was a wonderful way to show our appreciation and engage with them in a meaningful and enjoyable way.”
Credit Direct also used the event to spotlight some of its innovative products, such as the “Sharp Sharp” personal loan for public sector employees, “Credit Direct Check Out,” a Buy Now, Pay Later solution, and “Yield by Credit Direct,” a fund management platform aimed at helping customers grow their savings.
CD’LYMPICS continues to position Credit Direct as a company dedicated to building strong connections, both within its workforce and with its customers, all while driving innovation in the financial services sector.
