Mohammad Badaru, the Minister of Defence on Thursday challenged troops of the Nigerian military to capture notorious Zamfara bandit, Bello Turji as a way of putting an end to activities of bandits and terrorists in the Northwest part of the country.
Bello gave the challenge while addressing troops of Fansar Yamma, a special military operation created to tackle banditry in the North West part of the country at the One Brigade Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State.
The Minister told the troops that their Commander -in- Chief, President Bola Tinubu has been monitoring the ongoing operation to root out bandits and terrorists in the Northwest.
He added that while the President is excited about the progress the troops have made in the past few months in the battle against bandits, the security challenges they pose are not yet over.

Badaru told the troops that the President want them to do more while expressing his appreciation for their efforts so far.
He added that Tinubu is ready to provide al the wherewithal needed to end insecurity in the North West and in the entire country.
“I had some reassurances from the commander officer and was pleased, sure that we would reach the goal. Are you ready to finish with them? Are ready to end it? Please get me Turji.”
Badaru who visited the Operation Fansar Yamma in Gusau to take briefings on military operations was received by the Commander, Joint Taskforce Northwest Operation Fansar Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Mumuni among other dignitaries.
