Residents in many Lagos districts are facing power outages due to faults in several electricity feeders, according to Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC).
Eko Electricity stated that the service disruptions over the past two days caused faults affecting seven feeders across Mushin, Lagos Island, Urban Prime, Festac, Ojo, Ajele, and Orile districts.
“There has been a disruption in our services arising from various faults, which has resulted in our inability to meet up with the required service level in the past two days,” Eko Electricity disclosed in a statement on Wednesday.

In Mushin district, under the feeder of Ijesha, Smith, the affected areas are Apapa Oshodi Express Way, Smith Street, and Adeola Street.
In Lagos Island, under the feeder of New Idumagbo, Ilubirin, the affected areas are Dolphin Estate Phase 2, Third Mainland, Ring Road, and Ilubirin Estate.
In Ajah, under the feeder of Urban Prime, the affected areas are Lekki Epe Exp Road, Ogombo Road.

For Festac district, under the feeder of Festac 2, the affected areas are Lagos Badagry Exp Way, Old Ojo Road, and Dupe Otegbola Industrial Way.
For Ojo districts under the feeder of Festac 1 (ojo), the affected areas are Lagos Badagry Exp Way, Isheri Olofin Road, and Kemberi Road.
While in Orile district, under the feeder of Adelabu 2, the affected area is Alhaji Masha Road.
For Ajele districts, under the feeder of Ajele, the affected areas are Adeniji Adele Road and Ring Road.

The distribution company, however, apologises for the inconvenience, adding that it is working to resolve the situation and prevent its reoccurrence.
