Super Eagles will assess the fitness of goal scorer against South Africa, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, after injury forced him to be replaced on the hour Friday night.
“The medical staff will observe him, we will check his reaction,” disclosed coach Finidi George.
Turkey-based midfielder Dele-Bashiru crowned his official full international debut with the equaliser against Bafana Bafana at the start of the second half of the 2026 World Cup qualifier in Uyo Friday. However, injury forced him to be replaced by Alhassan Yusuf in the 61st minute.
Defender Semi Ajayi is the team’s other injury concern after he asked to be substituted when he suffered a knock during the game.
