A plethora of disgruntled customers of Ecobank has taken to various social media platforms to vociferously express their profound frustration regarding the myriad difficulties encountered whilst attempting to execute online banking transactions.

Several of these aggrieved individuals lamented about the unfortunate occurrence of failed transactions, notwithstanding the fact that they had been duly debited by the bank.

Furthermore, a considerable number of customers also articulated their discontent pertaining to unauthorized debits from their accounts without their explicit consent or authorization.

One such customer, who identified herself as Anointed Queen, succinctly encapsulated her predicament in the following manner: “I made a transaction of 20000 yesterday, the transaction failed after I was debited but the money haven’t been revised into my account.”

In a sympathetic gesture, another customer, Nicholas, corroborated Anointed Queen’s experience, stating: “I’m facing the same thing here.”

Nicholas added that he was also debited N4000.

“I made a transaction of 4000 yesterday, the transaction failed after I was debited but the money haven’t been reversed Into my account.”

Meanwhile, another customer Blessing Ngozi cast aspersions on the veracity of a post authored by Ecobank, wherein the bank averred its readiness to provide service.

In a scathing riposte, Blessing Ngozi wrote: “You people are ready to serve me right, I was debited yesterday and I called this morning nobody is picking my call to hear me out now. Please I want an instant reversal.”

Juddy Jacob, in a scathing indictment, pilloried Ecobank as the “most useless bank in Nigeria,” whilst bemoaning the disappearance of her funds since December 17, despite having lodged two formal complaints.

Precious Akpoyibo Tolar levied a grave accusation against the bank, alleging that a staggering sum of 350,000 had been debited from her account without her explicit authorization. In a sternly worded missive, Precious Akpoyibo Tolar demanded the immediate restitution of the aforementioned sum, forthwith.

She wrote: “The way my 350,000 was debited from my account without authorization and my atm card and phone with me. Should be returned As soon as possible. I am no longer finding this funny and u won’t let it slide.”

Constance Chiemena, in a similar vein, lamented the fact that a transfer of funds from Access Bank to her Ecobank account had been debited, yet she had yet to receive credit for the said transaction.

However, in a bid to mitigate the prevailing sense of discontent amongst its customers, Ecobank has exhorted those experiencing difficulties to channel their complaints to the bank’s inbox on Facebook and Twitter.
