Thirteen alleged Internet fraudsters have been taken into custody by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Sokoto Zonal Directorate in Sokoto, Sokoto State.
According to an official statement from the EFCC on Monday via X, they were detained on Saturday in the Sokoto neighborhoods of Gidan Yaro and Dandima on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding their potential involvement in offenses related to the internet.

All of the suspects, the agency said, claimed to be students at Usman Danfodio University in Sokoto.
When the investigations are over, they will face charges in court.
