Electronics brand celebrates Korean pop music with Fiesta Contest
A technology and innovation company, LG Electronics, has introduced K-POP Fiesta contest in Nigeria in a bid to celebrate Korean pop music and dance.
The event provides a unique platform for fans to showcase their passion for Korean pop music, while engaging with fellow enthusiasts from across the country.
The contest will tour four cities— Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Ibadan— aiming to bring the vibrant culture and energy of K-POP to Nigerian music lovers.
According to the organisers, participants will compete in various categories, such as singing and dancing.
Speaking at a media parley held during the week, the Managing Director at LG Electronics West Africa, Hyoungsub Ji, stated, “We are excited to bring the K-POP Contest to Nigeria, and provide a platform for talented individuals to showcase their skills.”
The contest kicked off in Ibadan, Oyo State, on May 2. 2024 Subsequent stops will be made in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja, before culminating in a grand finale back in Lagos. Winners in music and dance categories from each city will receive prizes, with the overall winner at the grand finale taking home N2m, and other prizes.
