    The Nigeria Schools Sports Federation (NSSF) U15 Championship concluded on Monday in Abuja with a thrilling display of young football talents.

    Enugu State clinched the title in the male category, while Bayelsa State emerged victorious in the female category, showcasing their dominance in grassroots football.

    The tournament, organized by the NSSF in collaboration with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), brought together teams from across the country, including representatives from Adamawa, Niger, Kano, FCT, Enugu, and Bayelsa.

    Speaking at the event, Alhaji Mohammed Adebayo Ameenu, Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary, praised all the participants for their dedication and skills.

    He revealed that standout players from the tournament would be invited to national teams, offering them a pathway to professional football careers.

    “The NFF President is extremely proud of the young players who showcased exceptional talent and discipline throughout this competition. Our scouts have identified several promising players who will have the opportunity to represent Nigeria on the continental stage,” Ameenu said.

    The championship underscored the importance of grassroots sports development in Nigeria, reaffirming the commitment of stakeholders to nurture young talents and bolster the nation’s footballing future.
