Chelsea forward Estevao Willian has wished new Manchester City signing Savinho well after he penned a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.
The 20-year-old Brazil international spent last season on loan at Girona from Troyes, who are also part of the City Football Group. Savinho has cost City roughly £30m and has signed a contract until 2029.
On Thursday, when confirmation of Savinho’s deal was posted on Manchester City’s official social media channels, Willian – who will join Chelsea in 2025 – was quick to congratulate his compatriot on a move to the Premier League: “May God bless you, brother, in cheering,” wrote Willian.

“I like playing one against one, making assists, scoring goals too, and helping the team. My main characteristic, what I like the most, is being happy and getting fans up off their seats.”
Last month, Chelsea confirmed the signing of 17-year-old Willian, who will move to Stamford Bridge from Brazilian side Palmeiras in June 2025. He will become the Blues’ latest Brazilian signing and join Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, and Angelo Gabriel.
Chelsea will be the first Premier League team to try and stop Savinho when the two sides meet at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the new season. Meanwhile, the Blues will travel to the Etihad in January.
