Andrés Iniesta, a former midfielder for Barcelona, is going to stop playing football.
On October 8, the 40-year-old, who is recognized by many as one of the best players of all time, will make his announcement.
This will mark the conclusion of a distinguished career spanning more than 20 years.

In an anticipation video uploaded on his X page on Tuesday, Iniesta wrote, “Coming soon 8/10/24.”
With 674 appearances with the senior Barcelona squad, Iniesta led the Blaugranas with 135 assists and 57 goals.
The Spaniard won 32 championships with Barca, including nine La Ligas, four Champions Leagues and six Copa del Rey wins.
