Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana aka Falz, has opened up about his relationship status.
Falz said he’s not interested in a woman’s looks or physical appearance anymore, instead, he’s attracted to their confidence, personality, and overall energy.
In an interview with Beat 99.9FM on the Morning Rush Show, hosted by Bibi Raii, the 33-year-old said he wants a woman who carries herself with swag and has a good vibe.
The rapper emphasized that he is no longer drawn to superficial qualities, but rather to a woman’s inner qualities, confidence, and overall energy.
Asked what attracts him to a young lady, Falz replied, “The aura, the energy, the swag. When I say the aura, I don’t mean that loosely; I’m coming from a realm where I thought I liked light-skin babes or other fickle things. I’m in a realm where it’s not about that, now it’s about the kind of energy you ooze.”
“My last relationship was in 2008; I was 18 years old precisely. It’s not like I’m running away; it’s just been like a rollercoaster, a couple of different things for a couple of different reasons. It keeps changing, and I just haven’t felt ready.”
On if he will be ready for a relationship soon, he simply said: “You never know; maybe the golden era is the era.”
Falz, who is the son of human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, became more well-known after releasing the song ‘Marry Me’ featuring vocals from Poe and Yemi Alade.
He currently owns an independent record label called Bahd Guys Records.
He released his debut album ‘Wazup Guy’ in 2014.
His second album ‘Stories That Touch’ was released in 2015.
He released ‘27’ in 2017, and his fourth studio album ‘Moral Instruction’ in 2019.
