The crossdresser Idris Okuneye, commonly known as Bobrisky, has been given a 12-hour ultimatum by Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, to take back any defamatory remarks made about him and offer a public apology.
A letter dated October 14, 2024, written by Taiwo E. Olawanle and Olorunfemi Akinyemi of Falana & Falana’s Chambers, sent the warning.
Falz’s legal team has insisted that Bobrisky issue a written apology on all platforms where the defamatory remarks were made, in addition to retracting the fraudulent accusations. Legal action, including a damages suit, will follow noncompliance.
Bobrisky claimed that Falz had offered to pay N10 million to obtain a presidential pardon through his father, Mr. Femi Falana, the well-known Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), which sparked the issue.
Falz’s attorneys vehemently refuted the allegation, stating that Bobrisky had indeed asked Falz for money but was turned down.

In the letter titled, “Demand for Withdrawal and Retraction of Defamatory Statements against Mr. Folarin Falana (aka Falz),” the rapper accused Bobrisky of exploiting his recent imprisonment to defraud the public and make false claims about receiving legal help from Falz’s father.
The letter stated: “It is evident that you took advantage of your recent imprisonment to extort money from artists and the public.
“On May 4, 2024, you called Mr. Falz requesting financial assistance of N3 million for a special place in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, which was refused. You then falsely claimed in a video that Mr. Femi Falana had agreed to write a pardon letter for you.”
Additional accusations made by Bobrisky that he had given N5 million to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in order to obtain a pardon were also denied by Falz’s attorneys, who called them completely false.
Falz forewarned Bobrisky that legal action would be taken and that there could be severe financial penalties if the apology and retraction were not given within 12 hours.
