The family of Daniel Ogoh, a Nigerian postgraduate student in a university in the United Kingdom has raised alarm over his disappearance shortly after his arrival back in the country.
According to a source in the family, the 27-year-old, 6.1 ft tall, Danie Ogoh arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on the 5th of May.
The source added that his name was on the manifest of those who arrived and cleared by the relevant agencies, as there were no criminal records against him.
To the dismay of the family, however, the visit turned awry when Ogoh did not arrive home and has not been seen by any known family member, friend, or associate since that time.
Efforts to track him through his phone numbers have also been abortive, according to the family source.
Worried by the grim possibilities, the family began a frantic search for him and reported the matter to the law enforcement agencies. Thus far, the search and investigations have not shed light on the whereabouts of Ogoh.
“This is really strange and unfortunate. I don’t understand how somebody will arrive all the way from Europe and disappear into the thin air in his country. This has thrown the parents and other family members into emotional trauma. This is a very dark and agonising moment for us,” Imade Osamede his uncle said in a tearful tone.
The family therefore pleaded with anyone with useful information on the issue to report at the nearest police station or contact the family through the following telephone lines:
