    Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) Chief Executive Officer, Aisha Rimi, were among the dignitaries who inaugurated Fan Milk’s new yoghurt production line in Ibadan, Oyo State.

    At the ceremony, Governor Makinde, represented by Deputy Barrister Adebayo Lawal, praised the facility as a testament to Danone’s commitment to socio-economic development in the region. He highlighted the anticipated job creation and economic stimulation, emphasising that the new production line will improve the quality and availability of dairy products for the local population.

    Former President Obasanjo lauded the initiative, noting that it reflects Fan Milk’s dedication to high standards and its role in supporting national economic growth. He stated that the investment will not only generate employment and invigorate local economies but also contribute significantly to Nigeria’s GDP. Obasanjo praised the project as a demonstration of Nigeria’s capacity to meet domestic needs and compete globally.

    Véronique Penchienati-Bosetta, Deputy CEO of Danone, spoke about the company’s long-term commitment to the African market and its confidence in the dairy sector’s growth. She highlighted that the new yoghurt production line will expand Danone’s production capabilities and maintain its promise of delivering nutritious, high-quality products.

    Christian Stammkoetter, President of Danone Africa, Middle East, and Asia Zone, reinforced Danone’s vision for growth in Nigeria, noting that this significant investment aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.

    Kayode Adebiyi, Managing Director of Fan Milk Plc, hailed the facility as a major milestone for the company. He expressed gratitude to the team and partners involved in bringing the project to fruition. Adebiyi emphasized that the advanced technology used in the new line ensures efficient, sustainable production and continued innovation in delivering top-quality products.
