A source close to Delta Sports Commission told The Guardian, yesterday, that players of Warri Wolves were paid six months salaries and bonuses, while Delta Queens got their four months salaries and bonuses.
According to the source, the newly appointed Director General of the Sports Commission, Festus Ohwojero, paid the money to the players’ banks account directly as against the usual method where the Sports Commission pays to the clubs account and the players are paid by the management of the clubs.
