    The FHI 369 Alive and Thrive I, in collaboration with the primary healthcare board h, as on Friday conducted 2-day transition and sustainability close-out planning meetings in Damaturu.

    The meeting drew participants from across the Yobe State Ministry of Health, Ministry of Budget, NAF DAC, CBOs, and State Primary Health Care Management Board (PHCB), respectively.

    The meeting aims to validate and approve the state sustainability plan for the Althelivee and Thrive projects in Yobe State.

    Speaking at the closeout sustainability meeting, Yo states Commissioner of Health Mohammed Lawan Gana said, FHI 360 has been in Yobe State for 3 years working on nutrition concerning the maternal infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN)in the State

    Represented by the state Director of unhealthy, Dr. H.auwa Goni Fika, the Commissioner stated that F 360 gives Yobe state technical support as they provide various inputs into the man creation wh, which is known as Community engagement, sensitization, advocacy, and social mobilization.

    He revealed that he has also been part of the support system role played by the state nutrition committee w, which is domiciled in the state Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning and chaired by the permanent secretary of the ministry w, here all planned ministries, including the Ministry of Health, are members of the committee.

    “FHI 369 has been supporting that committee as well as other nutritional partners. They have been part of nutrition coocoordinationachings.

    “They do gigiveutritional officers technical support both in the ministry of agriculture, ministry of Health, and the state ministry of Budget and economic planning,” he added.

    Dr. Lawan Gana thanked the FHI 360 for all the support to the state strand and said that he is happy to be part of the sustainability closeout meeting. Ho, ping that all the field operational challenges have been key into the final report of the plan that is closing out.

    The meeting featured a presentation on the LGA PIMT tracker and the Validation of the drafted sustainability plan session, among others.
