A political pressure group known as Shehu Buba Umar (SBU) Vanguard has called on the Senator representing Bauchi south senatorial district to contest for the governorship position in the 2027 general elections.
The Vanguard Director General, Hon Ishaq Dabo who stated this during a press conference in Bauchi, said that the party cannot afford to sit on the sidelines and watch how decisions are being made that affect the lives of the people in the state.
“As citizens, we have the power to shape the course of the destiny of the state. We have the responsibility to ensure that our government is accountable, transparent and effective in serving the needs of all our people”
“I am speaking before you today with a sense of urgency and a deep conviction, our beloved Bauchi State is at a crossroads, facing challenges and opportunities that will shape its future for generations to come”.
“It is clear that we need strong, visionary leadership to guide us through these turbulent times. I believe that the time has come for someone to step forward and accept the clarion call to contest the gubernatorial seat come 2027″Dado said

Hon Ishaq Dabo described Senator Shehu Buba Umar as a leader who has consistently shown a deep commitment to the state, saying “His dedication, experience and unwavering passion for public services has made him the ideal candidate to move our state forward”.
According to him, the Senator has a proven track record of successes which include the implemention of various policies that have positively impacted on his communities and always putting the needs of his people first. He also has the vision, integrity and skills need to tackle the pressing issues facing Bauchi state and to bring about positive change.”
