Groups hail Tínubu for nominating Yilwatda Goshwe as minister

Published By: Paul Dada By Jethro Ibileke The National Integration Group (NIG), has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the nomination of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. This is even as the Northern Advocacy Group for Good Governance (NAGGG), described the nomination of Prof. Yilwatda as a round peg for a round hole. Goshwe is one of the seven persons recently nominated for ministerial appointments by President Tínubu. NIG in a statement on Monday, signed by its spokesman, Mr. Chinme Dabin, noted that the appointment has sparked widespread celebration across Plateau State and other parts of the country. It described the ministerial nominee as a seasoned administrator who has risen to a key national role. NIG noted that Prof. Goshwe’s extensive experience in software engineering, sustainable development and renewable energy, that spanned over 25 years, qualifies him for his new role. “Prof. Goshwe’s exceptional service and dedication have earned him this important role to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigerians. “This appointment is a significant milestone for Plateau State, and we thank the President for this well-deserved recognition of one of their illustrious sons. “Prof. Goshwe is exceptionally equipped to fulfil the demands of this role,” Dabin added. In a related development, the Public Relations Officer for the Northern Advocacy Group for Good Governance (NAGGG), Shehu Usman Isa, expressed optimism over Goshwe’s ability to contribute to national development. NAGGG urged the former APC’s governorship aspirant to bring his deep commitment and expertise to the role. “As the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Goshwe is expected to bring positive change and address humanitarian and poverty issues in Nigeria effectively. “Prof. Goshwe’s recognised expertise in humanitarian and economic development makes him a perfect fit for this role. “It is our prayer that he succeeds in all responsibilities and justifies the trust and confidence placed in him by the President and the Nigerian people,” Usman Isa said.
